SHOWTIME PRODUCTIONS REGISTRATION
Welcome to another fun-filled year of dance and tumbling at Showtime Productions. The excitement is in the air, and we are anxious for you to join us.
We would like you to know that the fall class schedule was developed with the individual needs of your child in mind.
We offer classes in many forms of dance and acro/gymnastics, and they have been arranged according to the levels of skill and development of each child.
Our classes were arranged to accommodate your interests.
Showtime Productions strives to educate students in the different disciplines of dance and acro/gymnastics, and to make learning fun.
SHOWTIME’S FAMILY CLASS RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. $35.00 Registration Fee (non refundable) to new enrollees to the studio
2. One hour class – $31.00 per month
3. One and one half hour class $47.00
4. Recital fee is $50.00 per family
5. All classes are free after the 6th paid class per family
6. There is a $25.00 reinstatement fee for students who drop classes and come back within the same year.
7. Solo’s, duets, trio’s etc are available for competition students only. Showtime students may take private classes from the Showtime staff in order to become more proficient in a style of dance. There will be a studio rental fee for all solo, duet, and small group numbers for students which are not Metro Sports club members. Any extra choreographed number must be performed in at least one competition in order to be placed in the recital program.
8. Students may not participate in more than 2 extra numbers in recital.
RECITAL
Showtime Productions presents an annual recital at Hathaway Hall on the campus of Lewis & Clark Community College. A costume must be purchased for the recital. A recital fee of $50.00 per family is charged in April and is due May 1st. This fee is to cover the rental costs, lighting, technical requirements, and printing of the programs
The recital is scheduled for June 15, thru June 17, 2012.
Practices
Please read and be aware of the following studio practices:
Students
1. Cell phones are not permitted in class. Students will be asked to leave class if they are using their cell phone.
2. Be prompt
3. Dress appropriately for class. Competition students should wear a black leotard, tights and pink ballet shoes for ballet class. You hair should be pulled back away from your face.
Ask your jazz teacher as to the type and color of jazz shoes they want you to have. You may wear tee shirts and shorts as well as white tennis shoes for poms.
4. Jeans and pants with a button are not appropriate for dance class.
5. Acro students should have acro shoes for support and foot protection.
6. Food and drinks are not permitted in the dance studio.
7. Do not wear jewelry. It may fall off and can be distracting.
8. Be attentive and courteous to instructors and others.
9. Gum is not permitted in any dance or tumbling classes.
Parents:
1. Parents are not to interrupt instructors or class time to inquire about their specific child’s needs.
2. Notify the studio when an illness or vacation will prohibit student’s class participation.
3. Do not hesitate to call the studio when you have a question or concern.
4. All class fees are due the first class of each month. A late fee of $5.00 will be charged to each student after the 10th day of the month.
5. Recital fees are due May 1st. A $5.00 late fee will be charged after the 10th of the month.
6. There will be an additional recital fee of $50.00 for each specialty number such as solo’s, duets, and trio’s.
7. Dance fees and costume fees are not refundable.
